The unique sight and sound of the harp will instantly add a touch of class and sophistication to any event. Its gentle, dulcet tones create a heavenly and sparkling atmosphere, perfect for weddings, parties, proposals and more! Make your event stand out above the rest by including harp music as your entertainment.
With many years of performance experience, I have a wide variety of repertoire that will provide something for everyone to enjoy. Whilst I am classically trained, I can perform the music of many different genres, including pop, jazz, contemporary, folk, religious and traditional. You can find an extensive list of my repertoire further down the page. If you have any song requests – a special song for your bridal entry for example – or if there is a song you would like that isn’t in my repertoire list, I am more than happy to arrange it for harp just for you! Be sure to mention this in your enquiry.
When submitting your enquiry, please ensure to include as much information about your wedding or event as you can. Details such as the date, venue address, timings and any song requests you may have will allow me to begin preparation well in advance. I am also happy to arrange consultations via phone or video call to discuss song lists and answer any questions you may have!

Wedding FAQs
I play around 20 songs in an hour. I am happy for you to provide me with a list of songs that you would like me to play. Alternatively, you can just tell me the kind of music you like and I can take it from there. You can also simply ask me to use my own judgement on the day and play music that I think everyone will enjoy.
I will travel throughout the UK but I may ask for overnight accommodation to be provided if your wedding is a considerable distance from where I live (in Manchester). I will also need a parking space close to the venue, (big enough for an estate car), as the harp is a relatively large instrument. Travel expenses are calculated in addition to my fees and will be included in any final quote.
Yes, I take a non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure the booking.
If you’d like to book me, please get in touch via my contact form or email. Make sure to include your wedding date, the venue address, and a rough idea of the day’s schedule if you have it. Feel free to mention any specific requests in your message as well.
Once I’ve confirmed my availability, we can go over the details together.
When you’re ready to go ahead, I’ll send over a contract and an invoice. The invoice will outline how to pay the non-refundable £100 deposit.
Your booking will be secured in my calendar once the form is signed and the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding day.
A few weeks before the big day, I’ll get in touch to finalise everything, including your timeline and any song choices.
The harp is about 2 metres tall and 1 metre wide. I will require a space approximately 2.5m² in which to perform.
Despite its size, it is quick and easy to move the harp around a venue, as it comes with its own specialised harp trolley. Stairs can be negotiated but please let me know beforehand if there are narrow or spiral staircases in the venue. Also, please let me know if your reception is in a separate venue to the wedding ceremony.
Harps are delicate instruments and are primarily designed for indoor use. That said, I’m very happy to perform outdoors as long as the conditions are suitable. I require a flat area measuring approximately 2×3 metres —ideally surfaced with paving, tiles, or wooden decking, not grass or gravel.
Yes:
- On a sunny day: I’ll need a shaded area away from direct sunlight. Prolonged sun exposure can cause damage to the harp’s wood, glue, and varnish, and can make the metal parts too hot to handle. Natural shade from trees is fine, provided there’s sufficient coverage.
- If there’s a chance of light rain: A dry, covered space is essential (such as a gazebo, marquee, or veranda). Even a small amount of moisture can harm the instrument.
No:
- Windy conditions: Strong winds can be dangerous, as there’s a strong risk that the harp could fall and get damaged. A gentle breeze is fine, but anything stronger is a concern.
- Heavy rain or high humidity: It’s difficult to fully protect the harp from moisture, even under cover, and the tuning can be affected by shifts in humidity.
- Cold weather: If it’s chilly enough that you need a coat, the harp does too! Both the instrument and I are most comfortable around 20°C.
The harp sounds beautiful in any wedding venue but will sound its best in spacious rooms with hard surfaces. The sound of the harp can carry outdoors but will always sound louder indoors. It is possible to amplify the harp but as a carefully crafted, acoustic instrument it will produce the most beautiful sound when played without amplification. As an instrument that can be heard in a large concert hall it can be heard perfectly well during a busy reception, as well as providing the more ‘softly spoken’ moments that accompany the ceremony itself.
I can play at a range of special family occasions and corporate events. For example, birthday celebrations, renewal of vows, anniversaries, handfasting ceremonies, dinners, marriage proposals, funerals and any other occasion.
Yes – I often play with other musicians including saxophone, flute, trumpet, violin, cello and voice. Please let me know if you are interested in any of these options.
Yes. I have insurance provided through my membership to the Musicians’ Union and I am insured to the sum of £10 million.
