Teaching - Jess Hughes

I gained a passion for teaching during my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, where I took modules in ‘Individual Teaching’ and ‘Practical Pedagogy’. I also regularly helped with coaching the RNCM Young Harps sessions, a project established by Eira Lynn Jones. In Spring 2021, I also obtained a position as a Teaching Ambassador for the highly acclaimed ‘Benedetti Foundation’, where I learnt skills in how to teach warm-ups, solfege and practice tips, to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.

I believe that learning the harp should be an exciting and enjoyable experience, whether you are completely new to the harp, preparing for graded exams, or learning for fun! I offer lessons from my home in Manchester, or online via Zoom.
